Wanda Sykes is a Mommy

Great news for Miss Sykes
Wanda Sykes and her wife, Alex, welcomed twins on April 27, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. Daughter Olivia Lou weighed in at 6 lbs., 7 oz., and was 19-inches long. Son Lucas Claude debuted at 7 lbs., 9 oz., and was 20-inches long.
The comedian's wife gave birth to the babies. "All are happy and healthy and at home," says Sykes's rep Danica Smith.
Congrats, Wanda. I hope you are ready for sleepless nights
Interesting Quote: Christopher Hitchens

"The president should be squirming in his seat. Not smiling. The black dyke got it wrong. No one told her the rules."

You better watch your mouth, Chris. Wanda will beat your ass.

Wanda's Going to the White House

Wanda Sykes has been chosen to be the entertainer at the annual White House Correspondents' Association annual dinner in Washington in May.
This dinner will be kind of a 'hair down' event, mixing Washington elite, White House press corps and Hollywood celebs.
Wanda is excited about this and can't wait to perform:
"The first thing I did when they asked me to do this gig — I made sure my taxes were paid."
Good thinking, girl.

Interesting Quote: Wanda Sykes

“It was from the heart. I just said what I said; I don’t really talk about my sexual orientation. I wasn’t in the closet, but I was just living my life. Everybody who knows me personally knows I’m gay. And that’s the way people should be able to live their lives, really. We shouldn’t have to be standing out here demanding something we automatically should have as citizens of this country.” She ended the impromptu presentation with a statement of pride: “I’m proud to be a woman, I’m proud to be a black woman, and I’m proud to be gay. Let’s go get our damn equal rights.”

Welcome Wanda to the Family
I just learned that Wanda Sykes came out today at a Las Vegas gay rally. I always suspect her but I'm glad to hear that she out and married to a woman.
She said: We are so together now and we all want the same thing and we shouldn’t have to settle for less. Instead of having gay marriage in California, no, we’re gonna have gay marriage across the country. When my wife and I leave California, I want to have my marriage also recognized in Nevada, in Arizona, all the way to New York. ... I’m proud to be a woman, I’m proud to be a black woman and I’m proud to be gay."
"People shouldn’t have to talk about their sexual orientation, we shouldn’t have to do it, but with the legislation that they passed, I can’t sit by and just watch. I just can’t do it."
Maybe this movement will bring more people out and about.
