Obama Nominates John Kerry for Secretary Of State

President Obama nominated Sen. John Kerry for Secretary of State.

From CBS News:
"John's entire life has prepared him for this role," Mr. Obama said in announcing his decision in the Roosevelt Room at the White House Friday afternoon. He was joined by Vice President Joe Biden, Kerry, and Kerry's wife Teresa Heinz Kerry.
Clinton, who is recovering from a concussion and suffering from a flu, was not present. Mr. Obama said she "very much wanted to be here today, but she continues to recuperate."
Kerry is expected to be confirmed with relative ease in the Senate. The 69-year-old senator is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and is widely respected in Democratic foreign policy circles. A Vietnam veteran who spoke out against the war upon his return, Kerry was hailed by the president for having "played a central role in every major foreign policy debate" for nearly three decades.

"He is not going to need a lot of on the job training," Mr. Obama said, pointing to Kerry's many connections to world leaders. He called the Massachusetts senator who tapped him to give the keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention a "great friend" and reference Kerry's role in playing Mitt Romney in presidential debate prep sessions earlier this year.
Still wished that Rice stayed in the game though.

Susan Rice will Not run for Secretary of State

Oh no! Susan Rice is taking her name out of the running for the Secretary of State.

She talked about why with NBC’s Brian Williams:
“Today, I made the decision that it was the best thing for our country, for the American people that I not continue to be considered by the president for nomination of secretary of state,” Rice told NBC’s Brian Williams.

“I didn’t want to see a confirmation process that was very prolonged, very politicized, very distracting and very disruptive because there are so many things we need to get done as a country and the first several months of a second term president’s agenda is really the opportunity to get the crucial things done.”
Rice noted that President Obama’s second-term agenda included the “comprehensive immigration reform, balanced deficit reduction, job creation.”
She added, “And to the extent that my nomination could have delayed or distracted or deflected or maybe even some of these priorities impossible to achieve, I didn’t want that and I much prefer to keep doing what I’m doing which is a job I love at the United Nations.”
Man, I understand why, but I wished she stayed in.

Lord, Crazy Queen Orly Taitz is running for Secretary of State of California

Is she for realz?

This she-mess wants to be in politics?

Here's the press release

Vote for Orly Taitz for Secretary of State of California in June 8 Repub. Primary

Dr. Orly Taitz, ESQ is well known around the country as a Constitutional attorney who pursued the cases of massive elections fraud during 2008 Presidential elections, illegitimacy of upcoming Health Bill, and is representing over 200 high ranked members of the military, State Representatives from all over the country and former candidates on the ballot, including Dr. Alan Keyes, former Ambassador to the UN. In 2010 Republican primary Dr. Taitz is facing a former football player Damon Dunn, who has zero background in elections law or elections, as he never even voted until 2009. Mr. Dunn was a reg! istered Democrat in Florida since 1999 until he registered as a Republican in CA less then a year ago and only 6 months before his official announcement to runs as a Republican for the position of the Secretary of State. That is in violation of CA statute §8001(a)(2), which requires one not to be affiliated with another party for at least 12 months before the announcement of his candidacy. Additionally, Mr. Dunn has violated CEC statutes §18203 and §18500, and committed voter fraud by not disclosing on his voter registration card in CA the fact that he was a registered Democrat in FL.

Dr. Taitz has two doctor’s degrees. She is a doctor of Jurisprudence and a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Taitz is the President of Defend Our Freedoms Foundation and Editor of the OrlyTaitzEsq.com blog, where she writes prolifically on the issues of Constitutional law, politics, economy, constitutional education of our youth. Dr. Taitz is married to her husband of 23 years and a mother to 3 sons, ages 20, 18 and 16. Her oldest son is graduating from an Ivy league university pre-med program next year, her younger sons are in the last years of High School.

Dr. Taitz! was born and raised in the Communist Soviet Union and knows first hand the bleakness of the totalitarian regime and depravation of the Constitutional rights. As Mr. Obama became US president, Dr. Taitz got deeply concerns by the fact that he refused to present any of his original vital records and by the fact that the issue of Mr. Obama’s dual citizenship and split allegiance was not heard in any court of law yet. Dr. Taitz has embarked on a pro bono mission to bring this issue to light and have it heard on the merits.

Interesting Quote: Hillary Clinton

"No, I really can't. The whole eight (years), I mean that would be very challenging. But I... don't want to make any predictions sitting here. There are so many things I'm interested in, really going back to private life and spending time reading and writing and maybe teaching. Maybe some personal travel -- not the kind of travel where you bring a couple of hundred people with you."

Hill Hill saying that she won't seek a 2nd term... maybe.

Hill-HIll's Legit!

Hillary is Secretary of State! The Senate voted 94-2, and the 2 consist of the haters, Repubs Sens. David Vitter of Louisiana and Jim DeMint of South Carolina.

Her confirmation was necessary so that Obama could get to work with big time foreign policy issues. So Congrats Hill-Hill, you deserve it!

Hill-Hill of State

Hillary Clinton is Secretary of State! This should be great news especially for the PUMAs, The Denver Group, and the other haters who jumped ship when she lost the bid. I hope they realized that patience is a virtue.

However, I also hope that Hill-Hill knows that she is Secretary of State and not Queen Hillary of the Washington States of the American Countries.
