Daniel Radcliffe would Love to be Robin in the Batman Films

Daniel recently admitted that he would be a great Robin for Batman.

In an interview with Buzzfeed, Daniel said:

"[I'd love to be in] Batman. If they reboot that again, I'll do that too.

"It's happening, isn't it? With Ben Affleck. I could be Robin, I'm perfect."

I can almost see it. He could be a good Robin

Joseph Gordon-Levitt talks about Robin's chances in the Batman Vs. Superman film

Joseph Gordon-Levitt was on the Tonight Show yesterday, and Jay Leno asked him about the possibility of being in the Batman vs. Superman movie.

This is what he had to say:

“I don’t know. I don’t think so. I don’t have anything to do with that movie. I was in a movie that was the end of a trilogy. I was super proud and fortunate to be in. And I think that these next movies are…they are sort of a separate chapter.”

Now, I hope this is not real. I hope he's fooling, because if he's playing someone important in the film, then I'm done, like stick a knife in me done.

I pray to the Gods, WB isn't allowing this to happen. Wait, I think it's fake. The film is a Man of Steel sequel, not a 'versus' film. I think he's fooling us... I hope so.

Via Karen Ocamb's LGBTPOV, here's an audio clip of GetEQUAL's Robin McGehee and Las Vegas Stonewall Democrats chairman Derek Washington sparring over the effectiveness and purpose of GetEQUAL's blockage of the Las Vegas strip during Netroots Nation. This was recorded during Washington's local radio show and things get rolling at the 9:00 mark.

I'm on Derek's side. His views mirror my feelings on GetEQUAL and how I feel they are missing the mark.

Adm. Mike Mullen, Robin McGehee and Me

Today, Admiral Mike Mullen held a townhall meeting on campus (University of Southern California).

He was here to talk about issues on Veterans and Military Families. After he was done, Adm. Mullen took questions from the audience. Frontiers News Editor, Karen Ocamb asked him about DADT.

I recorded his response. Sorry for the shaking, but it was hard to be cute and technical at the same time. Also in this clip, Robin McGehee, co-leader of GetEQUAL, talks about Adm. Mullen's answer. The cute part was when her friend recognized me from Twitter. (They retweeted something I said earlier) See here:

Robin and I talked briefly (off camera, sorry). I expressed my concerns about GetEQUAL and she understood my views. It was clear that we want the same things, we just have different ways of achieving them. Our discussion was civil and we actually embraced. I still hold my views, but it was nice to hear the other side directly from the source. I only have read Robin's opinions from other blogs or tweets, but to see her face to face, was good.

Robin said she would like to chat more and I would like that. I want to talk about what I think they (GetEQUAL) could be doing. Also I want to have a civil convo about where GetEQUAL is going.

As you can see in the clip, that wasn't the right time to chat, but one day I hope to sit down with Robin and talk about the LGBT community.

WTFrak Moments in Last Week's Gay Rights Stuff

Last week we saw some interesting steps in the Gay Rights movement. However, there are some things that gave me a WTF moment from this events.

Much to ado about a Face- Kerry Eleveld and several others talked about the "DARK ANGER" in Obama's face when he was heckled here in L.A. It's interesting that so many assumptions are drawn from this, or the belief his frown is a sign a change.


Dan Choi believing Robert Gibbs forced the media away from GetEQUAL protest in D.C.- He tweeted this odd statement: "Press Sec'y Gibbs was in park; park closed. Rookie cop? We got names. Stay tuned. Gibbs muzzle press."
Uh, okay. But Gibbs doesn't have that type of power. In fact, Gibbs was going to lunch, so that conspiracy theory should die.

Remixing Obama's SOTU address- Obama said this about DADT in his State of the Union address:

"This year, I will work with Congress and our military to finally repeal the law that denies gay Americans the right to serve the country they love because of who they are. It's the right thing to do."

But somewhere that statement turned into, Obama was repealing DADT this year. Now, when I heard that statement, I didn't get "this year", I heard "will work to repeal it this year". Now all of a sudden, folks are claiming that Obama lied and betrayed us. Really? Maybe folks' perceptions betrayed them.

GetEQUAL- I saw these people at the Sen. Boxer's rally, and all I can say is "whoa". I'm concerned that this group will tarnished some things. So far, they just make folks mad instead of making changes.

Barney Frank's view of the GetEQUAL/ENDA drama

As some of you know, Barney don't play. And he wasn't too happy about yesterday's GetEQUAL attack.

''What a stupid thing to do.''

Frank called the action ''immature, tacky'' behavior on Wednesday afternoon and said that ''George Miller and others are working hard'' to see the bill passed in the House.

On Sunday, the openly gay Frank said the committee would be marking up and voting on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) ''this week or next.'' The activists, led by Get Equal co-founder Robin McGehee, weren't waiting. Signs and markers in hand, they walked right up the aisle of the hearing room on Wednesday to Chairman George Miller (D-Calif.), offering him a marker to mark up the bill right then.

When asked what she would say to Frank, McGehee replied simply, ''Prove us wrong, and make it happen.''

The action, which Frank said was ''no help whatsoever,'' fell on the same day that the National Center for Lesbian Rights, National Center for Transgender Equality, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and the Human Rights Campaign joined with more than 200 LGBT, faith, labor and civil rights leaders and organizations in sending a one-sentence statement to Congress: ''Pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act NOW.''

Frank said, ''I understand people are frustrated and angry,'' but he ''genuinely'' didn't understand the purpose of the Get Equal protest.

''How does this help us get the bill passed?'' he asked. ''Who's mind are they going to change?'

Robin believes this will move all LGBT forward, but Barney thinks it's a bit ridic.

No Boy Wonder

Merciful Minerva!

Someone had the good sense to stop the making of The Graysons, the story of Robin before Batman. Warner Bros. and C(crap)W was forced to drop The Graysons within a month's time by Jeff Robinov, who supported the messy idea at first.

According to studio insiders, Robinov has decreed that Warner Bros. "rethink its DC Comics strategy" and as a result didn't want to do anything big with a DC franchise at the moment -- at least when it came to "Graysons."

"The studio has opted not to go forward with the development of 'The Graysons' at this time as the concept doesn't fit the current strategy for the Batman franchise," the studio said in a statement. "Warner Bros. Television is currently working on several replacement options for the CW."

Thank the Goddess. That show would've ruin the Bat-legacy.

Holy Crap, Batman!! CW is F**king Things Up!

I don't know what to say about this bit of news, but:

The CW is prepping a series based on Batman sidekick Robin’s pre-Caped Crusader days.

Just as "Smallville" focused on Clark Kent in the years before he became Superman, "The Graysons" will follow the world of Dick "DJ" Grayson before he takes on the iconic Robin identity and aligns himself with Batman.

Project reps the latest DC Comics franchise to be mined for the smallscreen by sibling Warner Bros. TV. McG’s Wonderland Sound and Vision label is also attached. Souders, Peterson, McG and Wonderland’s Peter Johnson will exec produce.

"The Graysons" is seen as a potential replacement for "Smallville" should that show end its run this season, which has been speculated. Should "Smallville" return next year, "The Graysons" might also make a strong companion piece.

In the one-hour "Graysons," which will be set in modern times, young DJ will face challenges involving first loves, young rivals and his family as he grows up. Souders and Peterson have come up with an original take on the character.

Okay, remember the royal mess called Birds of Prey, yeah, I remember.
