For Synergy's Sake! Michael Bay could be handling the "Halloween" films

Oh me Lord! Folks are still trying to do a "Halloween" flick! Whyyyyyyyyy? (in my best Annie Lennox, voice) After the mess from Rob Zombie, I thought this alldaymare was done. But no, no, no, I learned today that the demon himself, Michael Bay and his folks at Platinum Dunes could be working on a new Halloween flick.

From Blood Disgusting:
While some of you may think this is an April Fool's joke, it's not. Bloody Disgusting can exclusively report that Platinum Dunes is in talks to take the producing reigns on Dimension Films' forthcoming Halloween sequel.

Word has it that Michael Myers' return will not be in 3-D, nor will it instill the popular found footage model, which was originally being explored for the potential Friday the 13th sequel.
No, just do a wrap-up film to end it and DO SOMETHING NEW!

Horror Movies are now Doomed

The remix of Friday the 13th made $42 million this weekend, and that spells DOOM. Because of this, I'm sure there is more of this frat boy Horror to come.

This movie...Goddess, this movie could've been better in so many ways. Less campy, more creepy, better kills, less Jason running, more mystery, less breast, less jokes and more Horror.

I'm not trying to be a Hater, I just believe in good Horror. The first one was creepy, Pamela Voorhees was glorious and wonderful as the killer. And Jason was perfect in the next 3 flicks after that. Michael Bay's version was so off and yet, on point with masses. He made this flick for everybody...I thought it should've been for the Horror fans and then everybody jumps aboard.

However, money must be made and Horror must suffer.

Thank Hera for Small Favors 3

To the true Horror fans/geeks, Platinum Dunes is the Devil. They have been on a remake frenzy for a while and every Horror movie from the 70s and 80s are in danger of their retouch. I'm sure they are nice people, but they have to know they are pissing off a huge amount of folks.

However, Hera smiled on us by telling producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form not to remake Rosemary's Baby! They had a plan to remake the demonic classic but something...happened.

Is there a horror film that just cannot be done again and why do it again? I see that you’re doing “Rosemary’s Baby” and that seems like one.

Andrew: We are not doing “Rosemary’s Baby”.

Brad: No, no. I mean… “Rosemary’s Baby” was announced and it’s like a little bit like we’re taking about with Freddy. We went down that road and we even talked to the best writers in town and it feels like it might not be do-able. We couldn’t’ come up with something where it felt like it was relevant and we could add something to it other than what it was so we’re now not going to be doing that film.

Good, good indeed
