Interesting Quote: Louis J. Marinelli

It was clear that NOM needed a plan to activate what supporters they had, to mobilize them to respond to events to create a grassroots-like illusion of support.

Of course, illusion is my word but is an accurate usage of the word considering the objective. NOM in no way ever ordered me to create an illusion.

I am sharing this with you because I want you to realize that NOM is a small group of devoutly religious Catholics supported by a couple of undisclosed sources. NOM is essentially made up of Brian Brown, its President, Maggie Gallagher, the CEO, a handful of other Board members (who are scattered across the country involved in other matters), a couple of advisors to Mr. Brown and a small and largely incompetent office staff.

Their social media management isn’t operated by NOM – they’re not big enough for that nor do they understand social media! As Jeremy Hooper detailed, Opus Fidelis manages NOM’s social media and websites.

That is all that is standing between you and the freedom to marry. There is no grassroots opposition. While they have proven to be quite successful over the past couple years, I think it’s time to put NOM’s size into perspective. Are you going to let a handful of fringe Catholics (with whom many Catholics disagree on marriage) stand between you and the freedom to marry?

Dr. Martin Luther King’s Niece will join NOM to rally against Gay Marriage

This is not the business. MLK's niece, Alveda King is joining NOM to tackle gay marriage.

Here's the press release

Join Dr. Alveda King at Atlanta Rally Today!

We’ve received word from Dr. Alveda King that she will be able to join us at today’s Summer for Marriage Rally in Atlanta, Georgia. Please help spread the word to anyone you know in Georgia or a nearby state!

We are extremely honored that Dr. King would arrange her schedule to be able to join us this afternoon, headlining our event outside the Georgia State Capitol from 2:00 – 3:00pm.

Three days ago, in an outrageous 136-page ruling, federal judge Vaughn Walker stripped 7 million Californians of their right to vote for marriage — declaring that same-sex couples have a new civil right to redefine marriage for everyone. And that the Christian faith, like the beliefs of other traditional faiths, “harm[s] gays and lesbians.”

Dr. Alveda King knows a thing or two about civil rights. Her own life has been dedicated to standing up for the rights of the unborn, speaking for those who have no voice of their own. Her father was the late slain civil rights activist Rev. A.D. King. Her uncle was the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Two great men who stood for respect, human dignity, and the rights of all to participate equally in the political process.

The time has come that we must now stand for marriage. I know how busy you are, with family, church, work and other commitments. Maybe you have never stood at a public rally or protest before. But if we don’t stand for marriage now, it could soon be too late.

Help spread the word!

Atlanta Summer for Marriage Rally Saturday, August 7 from 2:00 – 3:00pm State Capitol (Washington Street side) Atlanta, GA 30334

NOM's Fake Video is Too Funny... Part 2

This looks like something Stan Freberg would make as a joke, for example:

Interesting Quote: Brian Brown

“In the last two weeks, we’ve seen mothers harassed, children threatened, and outrageous efforts to disrupt and drown out our rallies from gay marriage activists. Rather than repudiating these tactics, major gay rights leaders are now blaming NOM for the behavior of their own supporters. This is irresponsible and wrong, and we call on them to repudiate these tactics, which are being driven by their outrageous persistent efforts to paint Americans who believe marriage is one man and one woman as haters or bigots. What they really hate is that we are showing middle America the real face of the gay marriage movement, on videotape, for all the world to see.”

Oh, Brian please.

NOM's Fake Video is Too Funny

Please watch this mess, it's better than the Storm Gathering crap!

First of all, stop with the over dramatics, girl! You wasn't too "ascared" to breast feed. And if you really thinking of your kids, you would moved somewhere else.

Stop playing, stop lying, NOM!
