In Baltimore: Teen Pleads Guilty for Attacking a Transgender woman in McDonald's

Last week, the teenager involved in the beating of Chrissy Lee Polis, transgender woman, pleaded guilty.

Baltimore Sun states:

Teonna Monae Brown, 19, pleaded guilty in Baltimore County Circuit Court to one count of first-degree assault and one hate crime count in the April attack on Chrissy Lee Polis, 22, which became a rallying point for transgender-rights advocates across the state and nationwide.

Prosecutors will seek a prison sentence for Brown of 10 years with five years suspended, said Baltimore County State's Attorney Scott Shellenberger. The combined maximum sentence for the crimes is 35 years.

In Baltimore: A Transgender Woman Beaten in McDonald’s

I heard about this yesterday and could not believe this happened. A transgender woman was attacked in McDonald's just for using the restroom.

The April 18 assault, seen below, took place at a McDonald’s location on Kenwood Avenue in Rosedale, Maryland, a Baltimore suburb. According to the Baltimore County Police Department, a 14-year-old girl has been charged as a juvenile in connection with the assault, while charges are pending against an 18-year-old woman. “The incident remains under investigation and the State’s Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case,” added investigators.

Police said the assault victim "appeared to be having a seizure" when officers arrived at the McDonald's at around 8 PM. The victim suffered cuts to the mouth and face during the attack and was transported by medics to Franklin Square Hospital for treatment, according to a police report.

The police report identifies the victim as 22-year-old Chrissy Lee Polis, who appears identical to Christopher Lee Polis, whose rap sheet includes convictions for disorderly conduct, property destruction, and prostitution, according to court records. The civil rights group Equality Maryland has identified the McDonald’s victim as a transgender woman.

Polis told police that she was walking to the restaurant’s bathroom when she “got into a verbal argument with two black females” who “began punching her in the face with their fists and pulling her hair.” A female bystander told cops that when she tried to break up the fight, the suspects punched her in the face, which “caused her to become disoriented.” Police noted that the woman, who declined medical treatment, had “redness around her right eye which is consistent with someone punching her in the face.”

The employees should have done more to stop this. Some of them pointed and laugh, which is completely unacceptable.

I hope Chrissy gets the help she needs and those girls get serious counseling and some type of punishment.

McDonald's Franchise Owner tells employees to vote for the GOP, or they don't get their Benefits

This is some bullsh*t right here! Franchise owner Paul Siegfried told his employees this mess, actually he told them in this letter:

After the employees complained to a lawyer and word got out, Siegfried apologized, saying: 

"Distributing this communication was an error of judgment on my part. Please know it was never my intention to offend anyone. For those that I have offended, I sincerely apologize." 

McDonald put out a statement saying that the company respects its employees' opinions, and "had no knowledge of this material being distributed" by its franchisee.

I think he should be FIRED.

The McDonald's Asshole Manager got Fired!

Yes, yes that idiot got fired for calling Zikerria and harassing her on her voicemail.

The McDonald's on International Drive and Sand Lake Road issued a statement Monday evening saying, "Sand Lake Road McDonald’s has a strict policy prohibiting any form of discrimination or harassment in hiring, termination, or any other aspect of employment in the organization. The restaurant requires all employees to comply with local, state and federal employment laws."

"The behavior of the individual in question is not reflective of the employment policies in the organization. Further, this individual acted outside the scope of his authority and was not responsible for hiring. The individual in question is no longer employed by the restaurant," the statement said.

That's what he gets for his stupidity!

Remember my blog about a Kentucky Mickey D's and their ignorant employees? Well the gays of the Ville (Louisville) are hitting back hard.

ACLU of Kentucky, Fairness Campaign, UofL’s commonGround, Lambda Law Caucus, Office of LGBT Services and community members are going to that McDonald's to protest today, in fact they are there right now!
