Troublemaker, abuser and back stabber, Hiram Monserrate lost the special election tonight!

With 35 percent of the vote counted, unofficial returns from the overwhelmingly Democratic 13th State Senate District showed Mr. Peralta with 60 percent and Mr. Monserrate with 34 percent. The Republican candidate, Robert Beltrani, an administrative law judge, came in a third with six percent of the vote.

Just after 10 p.m., Mr. Monserrate arrived to deliver his concession speech at a restaurant on Northern Boulevard in Jackson Heights, where about 50 supporters were gathered. Before he walked in, he said, “We fought a hard-fought fight. It’s a testament to our community that we pulled 4,000 votes. What we showed here is that there’s an alternative to politics as usual in Queens.”

Yes! He lost! He should've known he would, especially after that mess he pulled as the member of the Gang of 3 or 4, then his gay marriage betrayal and getting expelled. Of course his ass was out!

But I think the abuse of his ex-girlfriend was reminder of what this man is really all about. However, it was really sad to see her still support him in the end.

However, Hiram got an earful from the 'fam', as well as, folks drawing slash marks in lipstick on their faces, referencing Hiram's act of violence towards his ex-girly.

Hiram Monserrate is a pure snake in the grass!

First, he claimed to be for us, even took money from LGBT organizations.

Then, he turns his back on us during New York's gay marriage vote.

Finally, his past caught up with him and he got expelled from office.

Now we are here. In a special election to replace him, Hiram completely turns his back on gays with this mess.

It's all part of the expelled ex-lawmaker's continued effort to ride an evangelical wave back to his Senate seat in the special election that is being held on March 16.

The flyer casts Monserrate's opponent, Assemblyman Jose Peralta, as the "leading spokesperson for the gay community in NYC" and the tool of "mega rich gay fanatics" who are pushing for the legalization of same-sex marriage.

It also claims he was "affectionately called Peralta the gay caballero" at a recent LGBT fundraiser.

Now this is the man NY gays need to chase out of town. He is a pure traitor and should be dealt with properly.

Look out for "Counter Punch", New York!

Seeing how the LGBT community is gathering up to keep New York gay-friendly, a new group is on the rise.

They are called New Yorkers For Constitutional Freedom and they ain't playing:

A group of well-financed gay rights advocates have started a new political action committee (or PAC) to take aim at New York State Senators that voted “NO” on same-sex marriage legislation in 2009. They named the PAC, “Fight Back New York.

Although we cannot defend Senator Monserrate’s conduct which led to his removal from the Senate, it is clear that the goal of Fight Back New York is to replace him with someone who embraces the “gay agenda.” This is a political punch, nothing more.

It’s going to be a tough choice for many voters in this special election. They’ll have to choose between a former senator convicted of a misdemeanor, who is now repentant and paying the price for his sin, or a sitting Assemblyman who supports same-sex marriage.

Fight Back New York has drawn a line in the sand. They intend to force the gay agenda on New York by electing politicians sympathetic to their cause. Christians, we need wake up and fight to preserve our values.

Disgusted Democrats and Republicans joined together 53-8 to make Monserrate the fourth sitting state lawmaker ever expelled - and the first since 1861.

"Sen. Monserrate's abusive and unlawful conduct damages the integrity of the New York state Senate and demonstrates a lack of fitness to serve in this body," Sen. Eric Schneiderman (D-Manhattan) said after the vote.

The Empire State Pride Agenda will be endorsing Assemblymember José Peralta over Hiram Monserrate. They even put a press release for everyone to know:

Pride Agenda Endorses José Peralta for State Senate

December 8, 2009—The Empire State Pride Agenda announced today its endorsement of Assemblymember José Peralta in the 2010 Democratic Primary Election for State Senate District 13 in Queens.

Assemblymember Peralta is challenging Hiram Monserrate, the incumbent State Senator who last week reneged on a stated commitment in a 2008 Pride Agenda candidate questionnaire to support marriage equality legislation and voted “no” when the bill was brought to the Senate floor on December 2.

“José Peralta has demonstrated time and time again that he is a champion of equality and justice for all New Yorkers and has consistently represented the interests of his district in the New York State Assembly,” said Empire State Pride Agenda Executive Director Alan Van Capelle. “His record on LGBT issues demonstrates that he does not duck-and-run when our bills come up for a vote. He has stood up for us in the Assembly, and we will stand with him in his race for the State Senate.”

Assemblymember Peralta has three times voted to pass the marriage equality bill in the Assembly, has voted twice to pass the transgender civil rights bill (the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act) and has several years in a row voted to pass the Dignity for All Students Act, which combats bias-based bullying and harassment of youth in public schools. The Pride Agenda has previously endorsed Peralta in his reelection to the New York State Assembly.

“Civil rights for all of my constituents and for all New Yorkers has always been a priority for me,” said Assemblyman José Peralta. “I have worked towards full equality for LGBT New Yorkers in my seven years as an Assemblymember, and I will be proud to continue this work as a member of the State Senate. Days of Our Senator's Lives...NY Edition

New York, Sen. Hiram Monserrate first betrayed the Dems by jumping over to the Repubs' side. However, in a move only perfected by Stefano DiMera, he plans to jump back to the Dems.

Confusing, I know.

This is a slapdash mess! I couldn't make this stuff up. But it's done, or will be done. But if Hillary claims to have a illegitimate child from Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr., I'm done.

Pedro Espada Jr. and Hiram Monserrate are Traitors!

These fools should be showered in sewage water. Pedro Espada Jr. of the Bronx and Hiram Monserrate of Queens have sided with the Repubs in hopes to gain power in New York.

Some sources say this has something to do with the gay marriage issue. Pedro was a part of Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr.'s gang of 3 who tried to threaten the Dems to follow their lead.

This mutiny caused other issues as well

Shortly after the coup, Republicans named Espada temporary president of the Senate and Republican Dean Skelos of Nassau County vice president and majority leader. Skelos was majority leader in 2008.

Those are the most powerful positions in the chamber. With them, the bipartisan coalition can direct legislation and reassign committee and leadership posts.

Democrats tried to leave the chamber, even turning off the lights briefly, and are expected to challenge Monday's action in court.

The coup throws into doubt the movement to legalize same-sex marriage, one of the major policy issues still pending for the last two weeks of the regular session. Although passed in the Democrat-led Assembly, it is stalled in the Senate. Several Republicans and Sen. Ruben Diaz, a Bronx Democrat oppose the measure.

Democratic leader Malcolm Smith of Queens, who was elected majority leader in January, referred to the drama as "scurrilous action" by Republicans.

"There was an illegal vote taken," Smith said. "Let me be very clear _ very clear _ the Senate majority is in Democratic hands." He said he won't reconvene the session until the coalition drops its challenge to the leadership.

Honestly, these actions are selfish and damaging to the democratic process. I hope something can be done about this. Also it chills me to the bone if this "act" was really about gay marriage. If it was, then it's no telling what these fools would do to stop our happiness.
