The world’s highest-paid actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has big box-office draw — but it’s his even bigger heart that made the Moana star this year’s Sexiest Man Alive!

So what did the former WWE champ, 44, think when he first heard about his latest title?

“I said, ‘That’s awesome.’ And then what went through my mind was just how cool and exciting it is,” Johnson tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story. “And then I thought, ‘Wow, we’ve pretty much reached the pinnacle.’ I’m not quite too sure where we go from here. I’ve done it all, this is it.”

Dwayne will be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to celebrate.

Dwayne Johnson will be Black Adam in Shazam

Dwayne Johnson revealed that he is playing Black Adam in the upcoming Shazam movie. Black Adam is an enemy of Shazam/Captain Marvel and powerful character in the DC Comics universe.

Variety reports:

Sources tell Variety that Darren Lemke is set to write the script with Johnson attached to star. Johnson will play Black Adam, who in recent issues of the DC comicbook, is more of an anti-hero trying to clear his name than a villain.

Johnson and Hiram Garcia are also producing.

“We Love Dwayne and have had nothing but success with him over the years,” said Toby Emmerich, President and COO of New Line. “When I look at Dwayne both off screen and on screen, he is such a larger than life character and it just made perfect sense to me that we put him in a DC comic movie. You look at these comic book characters and they have this certain swag and charisma that Dwayne carries with him where ever he is so that’s why this always made sense.”

Hope he can pull it off.

The Rock, a.k.a. My Boo, is keeping the Green Lantern rumors burning. IGN picked up on his Instagram post from 3 months ago. Around that time, I posted his tweet that eluded he was in a DC Comics event.
