Wow! You notice that his first thought and inclination is the same advice Celie gave Harpo. To beat her. Then he even shirks the idea of counseling in favor of beating her. What school of psychology is he studying at? Not to mention his prejudicial accusation that every Muslim beats their wives. Seems like he wants to be a Muslim more than anything else. Guess that's an easy way to make the wife "submit". Mister would be proud. Sigh.
