Sad day. I was just turning 17 back then and can remember the smoke filled skies over Newark. Two months later RFK was cut down. All this while the war in Viet Nam raged on and on bringing back young men wounded and in boxes. It all seemed so hopeless.
I'm glad you posted this. MLKs contributions to everyone (not just African Americans or Americans for that matter) can not be stressed enough and his tragic and untimely death is a strong reminder that we have him to thank for where we are today but also to recommit ourselves to his ideals which I know can become a reality.
