Sharon Lettman-Hicks is the Executive Director of the National Black Justice Coalition. She was speaking at the 2010 State of Black Gay America Summit last week.
If the entire black community had this mindset, I'd be happy as hell. We are black, first, and gay, second. We, as a black community, should be more accepting of one another because it was a point where we were all we had.
