Interesting Quote: Roger Ross Williams
"One of the biggest anti-gay pastors invited me to his house for dinner. And I got there and thought, 'Oh my God, this is an ambush.' The pastors who are fighting the spread of homosexuality were all sitting there, not smiling. They pulled out the e-mail and said, 'We know that you are a homosexual.' I was terrified because I'd watched them hold up Bibles and say, 'This book says these people must be killed.' I was silent. 'But, Roger, we're going to help you, we're going to cure you.' They then just started praying over me."Roger is a Documentarian who made, 'God Loves Uganda,' a doc that addresses the anti-gay mess in Uganda.

See Julianne Hough, You don't have to do Blackface to dress as a Black Person
Miley Cyrus dressed as her favorite person for Halloween... Lil' Kim. And guess what, she didn't go Blackface. Maybe all of the news made her think twice, or maybe she wasn't so stupid about it.
And Lil' Kim approved
Awwww. Look at my baby @mileycyrus tonight!!! Looking GORGEOUS!!! I wish I was there to squeeze your boob :) :) Love… http://t.co/bFnBJOgBvL

Interesting Quote: Maggie Gallagher
"I believe the Supreme Court is going to impose gay marriage in all fifty states within the next two years. I think the battle's going to shift to religious liberty and we're gonna need politicians with backbone. What happened first in the gay marriage issue is liberals used their dominance in the mainstream media to persuade GOP pundits that they should be silent on the issue and retreat."

Support for Death Penalty drops to 40-Year Low
According to a recent Gallup poll, support for the death penalty is at its lowest since 1972.
Although 60% of Americans still favor putting convicted murderers to death, the level of support has dropped. I think that's interesting, but I would like to know what you all think?

Student claims Black Fraternity rejected him because he's Gay
Former Obama intern says he denied membership into Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity because he is gay.
Brian Stewart claims the chapter at Morgan State University rejected him because of his sexual orientation. He said that he heard some rumors and later found messages about him from the fraternity.
According to Brian, the messages were homophobic and full of derogatory language. One message says in part, "give him the perception of a fair and equal opportunity." Earlier this month, Brian received his rejection letter and quickly after that, filed a claim against the university and the fraternity. Morgan State University start their investigation soon after receiving the claim.
No word from Kappa Alpha Psi Inc.

In Hawaii: Gay Marriage clears Senate Committee
Good news!
The Hawaii Senate Judiciary and Labor Committee approved the gay marriage bill by a 5-2 vote. Now it goes for a full Senate vote on Wednesday. If it passes there, the House is next, possibly on Thursday.
The Senate legislation would recognize marriages between persons of the same gender and would extend to gay couples the rights, benefits, protections and responsibilities of straight couples.
If this is completely passed, Hawaii will be the 15th state! Fingers crossed.

Idiots don their Best Racist Trayvon Halloween Costumes
We have 3 idiots here before you. Why they thought this was funny, who knows. But why they think this pic wouldn't go viral against them is priceless.
Smoking gun has dug up their trash for all to see.
William Filene, who's dressed as Trayvon, is not a golden boy. This fool was arrested in June for felony auto theft. He's also has a rap sheet of other things too, like loitering and prowling.
Caitlin Cimeno is the lady of the hour and a stank ass racist. Last year, this she-mess posted elderly women wearing tight pants and tube tops as “tacos,” and posted a photo of an Black girl wearing a t-shirt reading “Black Girls Rock,” with the caption, “First of all, sorry Hun but mommy lied to you & secondly if I was wearing a shirt that said something like the truth 'white girls rock' I would be stared at and called a racist cracker.”
Greg Cimeno, dressed as Zimmerman, is just a plain ole idiot with nothing in his life to show for.
Funny, how they thought this was a simple joke, now they are ones who are the clowns. Enjoy your 15 minutes of shame... We definitely will.
The Real Lone Ranger was Black
Oh Snap!
This is something here. The real “Lone Ranger” is nothing like the man in the movies or the show. He's actually a Black man.
His name is Bass Reeves. He escaped racism and slavery, and made his home in Oklahoma and lived will the Seminole and Creek Nations.
His story has been mixed and mostly erased, but it's cool to know that he was a man of color fighting for the rights of others.

Not Every Gay wants Marriage
As gay marriage grows in America, many gays and lesbians are not so quick to jump the broom. In fact, they are not even considering marriage.
New York Times penned an interesting piece about the ones who don't want to go to the chapel.
For some, marriage is an outdated institution, one that forces same-sex couples into the mainstream. For others, marriage imposes financial burdens and legal entanglements. Still others see marriage not as a fairy tale but as a potentially painful chapter that ends in divorce. And then there are those for whom marriage goes against their beliefs, religious or otherwise.Hmm, well what do you think about this?
“It’s a very, very archaic model,” said Sean Fader, 34, an artist in New York who is single and asked to be identified as queer. “It’s this oppressive Christian model that says ‘Pick a person that’s going to be everything to you, they have to be perfect, then get a house, and have kids, and then you’ll be happy and whole.' ”
“There are many heterosexuals who feel the same way,” he added. After all, not all heterosexual couples choose to marry.

5 Guys you should NEVER Date
My friends are educating me on the men to stay away from. I've met a few of these and thankfully, my spider sense keeps me away from these guys.
But if you are curious about what kinds a guys to stay away from, I have a short list.
- I Never had a Prom Guys - These men didn't have a great teen life or college life, so they try to relive their 20s in their 40s. Nothing is worse than a 45-year old singing all the words to Miley's 'We Can't Stop.'
- F*ck-N-Forget Guys - These fools are so nice to you until you do the deal and then, they forget who you are.
- The Nomad Guys - They claim they are looking for someone and when they find someone, they settle in and leave... Looking for another someone.
- The Straight-Acting Guys - Self-Hate ain't sexy.
- Wishy-Washy Guys- They say they want a relationship and after you get close with them (and maybe hook-up), they're not sure if they want one anymore.

Interesting Quote(s): Johnny Weir
"I risk jail time just going there, but the Olympics are not the place to make a political statement. I’m not a politician and I don’t really talk about politics. You don’t have to agree with the politics, but you have to respect the culture of a country you are visiting."
“It’s pretty obvious that I’ve been gay my whole life. I don’t need to break any laws or wear a rainbow pin to show people that I support gay rights. I think I’ll do that just by being in Sochi and supporting our people there and know they are not alone."
"The gay community has not reacted well to me because some people think it’s my responsibility to be an activist. They’re expecting me to hate Russia because I haven’t been given equal rights in Russia.”
"If it’s good enough for Elton John, it’s good enough for me. Every country’s going to have its issues."

Universal Studios kills their problematic Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure
Folks around here loves them some Universal Studios' "Halloween Horror Nights." But their messy ass show called "Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure," didn't receive the same kind of love.
This show was packed with homophobic, rapey jokes, racist stereotypes, and the infamous gay fairy Superman. Well, after a lot of complaints and GLAAD's golden touch, the show is dead. A spokesperson from Universal Studios didn't think the show would cause any problems, but seriously... With everything that has happened for gay rights, did they really think their show was a good idea?
Universal Studios should fire the folks involved with this mess. Nothing good has come from this and if they want to save face, an apology (and firing) is in order.

BackFlash Video Thursday: Huey Lewis and The News

Interesting Quote: Brian Brown
NOM is working with allies in Hawaii to preserve marriage and demand that the citizens be given the right to vote on this critical issue. A large coalition of allies has been formed called the Let The People Decide coalition. It includes NOM, the Hawaii Family Advocates, Hawaii Family Forum, a diverse mix of pastors and church groups, and many others.
For the past several weeks, marriage supporters have been attending legislative constituent meetings, calling their representatives and standing on countless street corners during rush hour, waving signs to show their support for marriage. Pastors have preached about the importance of preserving marriage, and people are responding in droves.
This past Monday, NOM launched a major statewide television advertisement campaign designed to educate and mobilize marriage supporters throughout the islands. We're also phoning tens of thousands of marriage supporters in Hawaii to urge them to contact their state representatives. We've had to virtually empty our coffers to take these steps, but we are determined to do everything possible to prevail.

Tom Hardy is Elton John
Tom Hardy is going gay in his next big role. He will play Elton John in biopic 'Rocketman'.
This will be very interesting because, I see him as Bane or some worn torn character of trade. To see him as Elton will be crazy and amazing at the same time. Look for the set pics and costumes

This is the 40th Anniversary of THE EXORCIST
This film changed the game in 1973 and nothing has matched it ever since. When I saw this movie as a child, I wasn't scared, I was fascinated.
I didn't understand the story, but I loved the effects, the screaming, and the acting. This film is a powerful thing and if you haven't seen it... Please do so.
