My thoughts are on this are simple. If someone doesn't want to come, then fine, don't come. But don't go all over the internet trying to ruin it for everyone else.
I agree with Mark; I'd love to go, but the idea of me spending $1000 to go to DC, spend X hours doing nothing except to stand and help people who have no interest in me personally look good, then come back to NYC deal with the same bunch of elitist blogger snobs isn't all that appealing to me.
One thousand dollars of which I just do not have. I'm struggling as it is just to get a damn $299 netbook.
I like Cleve Jones - he even assisted me with some information I was seeking with respect to an ex-gay who claimed he was the boy in the wheelchair depicted in the movie - but he's just asking too much out of people.

$65 for the bus ticket, and I'll probably spend about $50 or so that day.
