Horror in Real Time

Jeromie Cancel murdered 19-year-old victim Kevin Pravia because the young drifter was "bored."

Cancel recalled how the sleeping Pravia's eyes flew open as he felt the murderer's noose around his neck.

And even as Pravia's struggles grew faint, Cancel kept his free hand - the one not pulling the cord - on his cigarette and his eyes on the movie in the DVD player, "Saw," a gory horror flick.

Cancel, 22, had a request for cops who videotaped his graphic confession to the Aug. 30 murder of the Pace University student in the teen's West 15th Street apartment.

"Can you cuff me in the front so I can throw gang signs?" the ice-blooded suspect said.

"I don't have any remorse," Cancel said in a written version of the confession released yesterday as he pleaded not guilty to murder in Manhattan Supreme Court. "I'd do it again."

Pravia was alone, tipsy and looking for cocaine when he allegedly ran into Cancel, a mentally unstable, drug-dealing drifter in Union Square.
