Interesting Quote: Dalton Heinrich

The abundance of thirty and forty something’s that attend nightclubs persistently and dress like they are going to a college frat party is astounding. Instead of the Botox, barhopping and H&M wardrobes; why as a culture, are the majority of us not having children and planning our futures.

This portion of grown men clinging to the wild nights and serial dating of their twenties seem to live in a secret Neverland. It is this category of men that I have personally diagnosed with Peter Pan Syndrome. These Lost Boys that are terrified of actually looking their age and are always fighting off time instead of aging gracefully and being something helpful for the young gay man to idolize?
What do you think?

  1. I have diagnosed this fool with Age Derangement Syndrome. It's like he's trying to push heterosexual societal norms onto the gay community!

  2. Hmmm. He definitely has a point about age/looks obsession and the lack of mentorship.

However, his tone, or at least the part you shared, comes off a bit finger wagging. Children are not the be all, end-all sign of maturity, and going out shouldn't be out of the question just because you're over 25. As Madonna once said, are you supposed to just DIE when you're 40(or in Dalton's case, 30)?

  3. He's closer to be spot on with the aging obsession comments. I think it is a little presumptuous to expect others to adopt the life he wants them to. there are plenty of straight peter pans. Not everyone wants to get married. Not everyone wants just one person at one time. Not everyone wants kids. Not everyone wants the house in suburbia or the swanky city flat in a homogenized community. Happiness comes in many shapes and sizes. Our diversity is a strength even though it can be socially and politically inconvenient and many times it divides us. We shouldn't rush to sanitize ourselves for the sake of others.

  4. eh, once you hit 50, it's time to put away the "youth" and embrace the "old".

at almost 60 (in 3 weeks), I dress appropriately - not old lady style, but not like mariah carey either - and I DO dye the gray hair (cause I don't look good in gray) and get regular mani/pedis. and I THINK 40.

perhaps some gay couples (as do some str8s [like me]) don't want kids. perhaps some gay couples (as do some str8s [like me]) already have good jobs. nothing wrong with a bit of "letting the hair down" once in a while; but all day every day is a bit much.

  6. true story is Dalton is the poster child for being Daddys boy. at 20 his boyfriend was in his 30's when he dumped him for asking for help. i was the daddy for the next 1 1/2 years. im over twice his age, but i wasntfucking him. he has serious childhood trauma and needs help and i was trying to help 1 but his sick need he has for a sex daddy was too strong and there are so many sick daddy's that could care less about a young mans mental state. Dalton found a degenerate cop twice his age thats more than willing! trouble is Dalton has suddenly become a racist ! wonder where it comes from ? 1/19/15 at 7:53 am i get this text "Happy nigger with a dream day!" i informed GayGuys.com buti guess a viral article trumps racist writer, they have ignored my emails .
