California removes ‘Husband’ and ‘Wife’ from Marriage Laws


Yesterday in Cali-Cal, Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill that will remove Wife and Husband from California marriage laws.

SB1306, written by Sen. Mark Leno, will update language used in California’s laws to reflect the recognition of same-sex marriages. Now, "husband and wife" will be replaced with spouses or married persons.
