Interesting Quote: Judson Phillips

Tim Tebow was essentially run out of the NFL because no team wanted to put up with the “circus” that surrounds him because of his open Christian beliefs. The NFL isn’t pressuring any team to even give him a tryout.

Yet there was tremendous pressure to make sure that Michael Sam was draft.

Before the NFL draft, a number of NFL scouts said they did not think Michael Sam was good enough to play in the NFL. They all spoke anonymously and now we know why.

If any of them had the courage to put their name to their comments they would have seen the end of their careers.

The St. Louis Rams took Michael Sam and now they are stuck with him. In training camp, no one is assured of making the team. That is except now for Michael Sam.

The NFL put tremendous pressure on teams to draft Sam. Now that pressure will be exclusively on the Rams to make certain he makes the roster.

Over the last few years, the NFL has become much more of an arm of the political left. From the Baltimore Ravens pitching Obamacare to the NFL’s implied threats to move the Super Bowl from Arizona if Governor Jan Brewer did not veto Arizona’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the NFL is acting like an arm of Organizing for Obama.

Perhaps it is time for real Americans to say enough. If the NFL wants to be political, then it can be. We don’t have to watch the NFL and we should ask our Senators and Congressmen why the NFL remains a tax-exempt organization?

  1. Tim Tebow was run out of the NFL because he couldn't play quarterback at an NFL level and wasn't a good teammate. End of story.

Chris Kluwe was also run out of the NFL for openly supporting marriage equality, though the Raiders were the only team to give him a chance to continue his NFL career.

What kind of punk is named Judson?

  2. Wearing bible verse numbers under his eyes and his faith didn't get him kicked out - it was his inability to play. Also, he did get to play and as many who are drafted - he didn't have the goods to make it. If Michael isn't an asset to his team and is unable to hold his own in the NFL then he doesn't belong either - and that should be the only reason. Although, I do think all those players who beat their wives, commit crimes, get DUI's, use drugs and rape women should be kicked out of the league too.
