HRC notes LGBT Inclusion at the Democratic Convention

  1. We're all Americans, everyone should be included in our political process. When my wife and I sold our house in New Jersey several years back, we sold it to a lesbian couple. At that time President Bush was running for his second term. While we were standing in the backyard together awaiting the end of one of the many inspections one of the ladies told me that they were Log Cabin Republicans. When I looked at her in amazement, she asked me if I knew what a Log Cabin Republican was.........I asked her if she really knew what it was. After we laughed she tried to explain why she voted Republican and I laughed at her. I told her that the two of them supporting Republicans would be like me supporting the Klan. If someone hates me, why would I try to align myself with them?!? If they considered my mere existance as a perversion, then why would I even want to belong?!?
