There are talks of a Whitney Houston tribute coming soon. And while there are many who want to do this, they are only a few who can carry the torch. So, I'll share with you my picks for a Whitney Houston tribute.

Ledisi - she has the voice and the passion.

Jennifer Hudson - nuff said

Brandy - Whitney's fave

Christina Aguilera - if she tones it down, yes

  2. You must not have seen Amber Riley on Glee last night. It was just coincidence that she sung I Will Always Love You and she killed it.

Way off the radar would be Cyndi Lauper - she has the voice, versatility, blues/rb ability and emotion when she sings. Check out her version of At Last, especially the last note, sorry about the commercial:

  3. I didn't realize since Whitney Houston's death that Dolly Pardon has been getting richer and not the other way around. I like dolly,I'm just saying.

  4. I wasn't really impressed with Jennifer Hudson's performance, she can wail, yes, but I didn't feel anything Whitney could've made you feel. Whitney's voice virtually dripped with passion and drama, as well as power. She was a master that Hudson needs decades to try and work up to.

Also, Christina needs to tone that growl down ALOT and keep her tig ol' bitties put away if she wants to even breathe the same air as Whitney Houston.

Brandy would be cute, but the one I agree with most is Kelly Price. LOVE her.

  5. Everyone in your list but Brandy. I like her but she's not in the other's vocal category. How about Deborah Cox? Great post idea. Wish I thought of it first.
