'Clay Cane Live' will give a Voice to the Black Gay Experience

Famed journalist Clay Cane has a new radio show coming our way. His show will be on New York radio's WWRL 1600AM as a part of the Equality Pride Radio line up:

Clay Cane Live, debuting this week, will air every Thursday at 11pm EST on WWRL 1600AM, and stream worldwide on wwrl1600.com. Clay has chosen a relaxed and open approach, which is sure to appeal to a straight, gay and mainstream audience. His first guest was Simone Battle, X Factor contestant and singer of the LGBT-themed pop song "He Likes Boys".

In the coming weeks Clay will interview the celebrated Jennifer Holliday, and Lalah Hathaway, daughter of Donny Hathaway and often coined the first daughter of Soul. The conversation will sway from music to pop culture, and social issues in African-American life.
Good luck, Clay! I'm sure this will be good.

  1. What do Jennifer Holliday and Lalah Hathaway have to do with the black gay experience? I think your headline is a bit misleading. Sure they may be gay icons but are there actually notable gay black men in his guest line up?

  2. His guests is just a kick off to his series. The paragraph above states that the conversations will shift from music to social issues. Since we haven't heard the interviews, we don't know what to expect, so I'll wait until then.
