Funny you should post this, I was just quoting this to a friend of mine in regard to Tim Tebow. A lot of fundamentalists celebrate his 'courage' in making public displays of religousity, but to me it seems self-aggrandizing. He has to wait until he runs out of the stadium tunnel where the fans and cameras can see him before he points his finger to the sky to say "JC, it's all about you". Why, because Jesus can't see through the looker room roof? No, because he wants everyone to see him. Or the people who bow there heads at McDonalds to give thanks-- why, because Jesus doesn't hear your prayers if you just sit there and think them in your head with your eyes open? So those folks are in the same boat with me, they ignore the Biblical warning against making a public display of prayer and I lie with another man.
