Did you see The Color Purple reunion?

What did you think?

Where was Lawrence Fishburne!!??? Rae Dawn was a bit full of herself. How could she be sitting on stage with Danny, Whoopi and Oprah and claim to somehow be A list, really? I thought everyone looked great! It was nice to see the actress who played Young Celie again! I wish more of the show had been strictly about Color Purple. Whoopi could honestly have had a whole show about her alone. I would like to know how they felt about the movie being locked out at the awards. Y'all know Whoopi deserved that dang Oscar!! Out of Africa beat them and nobody has talked about that movie since! The Color Purple is now a Classic and is aired on television constantly!

Also, I've seen the movie hundreds of times and I still don't know who all them kids was that were always running around that house!! Whose were they?

Akosua Busia(Nettie)still looks exactly the same!! She is beautiful! Margaret Avery looks great, but like she has had some work done. Am I wrong or has she not played the Grandmother in every recent movie I've seen her in and she DID NOT look like a Grandma on the show!

All in all I enjoyed it. Oprah may have shown too many of her own clips from the movie. But I wish it could have gone on longer.

Also, Whoopi's bed looked so lonely in that gigantic bedroom didn't it. If I woke up in the middle of the night I'd be scared I wouldn't make it to the bathroom in time it was so big. And the bathroom was so big you might as well sleep in there!

I liked seeing Margaret Avery again.

I loved it, except for Oprah. She got on my damn nerves with her narcissism.
Nettie is so GORGEOUS! What a beautiful woman!

I couldn't watch it because, what I'd seen in previews made me think it would turn into Oprah talking about Oprah.
And who needs that?

Bob...You were absolutely right.

@Bob and Toddy-When Oprah snatched that hanky out of Whoopi's hand. You could tell she thought Whoopi was pulling out the hanky for her, but Whoopi was pulling it out for herself and didn't offer it to O, so O snatched it! Whoo! I was waiting for it to jump off! LOL!
