I have never seen Angels In America. I heard a lot about it, but didn't have any interest in it.
But I curious about the story.
So I'm asking y'all two questions.
Should I watch it?

Saw it.
Loved it so much we bought the DVD.
I loved it. Mormons, Roy Cohn, Ethel Roseberg, and a different take on angels...what's not to like?
I watched it for the first time about 5 months ago. YES, rent it and watch it!

2.) I loved it! It was one of the best mini series I've ever seen. I even own it on DVD.
Also, I had a major crush on Patrick Wilson...so that only helped matters.
Do yourself the favor and check it out.
It's an amazing story and an amazing journey for all the characters, both good and not so good. You should watch it, it's definitely a must see, in my opinion.
The performances are top notch, as are the production values. I vote "yes". You won't regret it.

I saw it and while I remember liking it, I don't remember being head over heels. I guess it's worth watching.
Saw it a couple years ago when it ran on I believe HBO.
Bought the DVD set soon after.
Great mini-series. Covers the time period of when HIV/AIDS was first emergent and focuses on the intertwined lives of what at first you're lead to believe are disparate people.
Merryl Streep as Ethyl Rosenberg and as the Mormon mother. Al Pacino as Roy Cohn, and then Emma Watson as the central angel and as the crazy homeless person.
It's just an amazing visual treat too. But it wraps up the feelings of the early 1980's quite well. It shows that our demons got their just desserts too, even with their power and influence.
I loved it! There is so much to decipher. The performances were amazing. Wait till you see Meryl Streep as a elderly Rabbi. Is there anything that woman can't do?
I saw it again recently and realized how so much has changed, yet remained the same.
I also saw it and vote yes. Also what Truthspew said about the actors and visuals.
I am not exaggerating - it is one of the most powerful things I've ever seen on television. EVER.
