I agree and I can't explain it. The smile and eyes are great. But anytime he's without shirt or trousers he does nothing for me. I think it has a lot more to do with the character that I find attractive more so than Tenant himself.
I had the same phenomena with Seth Green when he was Oz on Buffy. Seth Green as Oz..sexy as hell. Seth Green in reality...meh.
He is very adorkable yes.
