Maybe SEXY ain't selling on TV

So this season of TV shows have been very telling about our taste (good and bad).

It seems the "sex sells" notion ain't working that much.

Melrose Place, 90201, Gossip Girl, Eastwick, Desperate Housewives and The Beautiful Life (TBL) are seriously tanking. In fact TBL is canceled.

CW banked everything on the sexy notion and has failed on that account. Their stupid teen vamp show, Vampire Diaries is their only success.

However, Crime and Geeky shows are hitting it big. Flash Forward, NCIS/CIS, Fringe, Bones and The Big Bang Theory are very popular amongst viewers. And comedies are making waves as well, Cougar Town and Glee are putting some hurting on the screen.

So does it mean that SEX is dead? Well, maybe on regular TV, but cable... That's a different story.

They cancelled The Game for all of these craptacular shows. Serves em right!
The WB/UPN merger was the worst thing to ever happen for African American programming...except for Tyra's silly show.

It's great to see that sex isn't getting the ratings. Maybe people are finally tired of reality and/or sex shows only. I hope!

Ummmm. hot sexy bodies on TV does inspire me and I love looking at it! But I am bored of TV except for Supernatural which rocks! I am not impressed with Vampire Diaries - it's too teenagy! Give me True Blood!

Not to nitpick (but I guess a little), "Housewives" is still going strong and is hardly about being sexy (anymore anyway)...
