Dave Letterman admits to Affairs

Drama for Dave...
David Letterman acknowledged on Thursday's show that he had sexual relationships with female employees and that someone tried to extort $2 million from him over the affairs.

During the taping of his CBS late-night show in New York, Letterman discussed receiving a threat to either pay $2 million or risk the relationships being made public.

In a release from the show's production company, Letterman said he referred the matter to the Manhattan district attorney's office and that an investigation ended in an arrest Thursday. Letterman did not identify the person he said was arrested.

As part of the investigation, Letterman said he issued a "phony" $2 million check to the individual and the arrest followed - along with testimony by Letterman.

What will Sarah Palin say?

  2. I know I heard that on NPR. I think that he is going to have to dish some real money now. Watch, some of his employees or co-workers are going to star coming forward. Mind you if you are bossing someone you are in a position of power, So we do not know what took place there. Remember Anita Brian? This story seems to have more extra chapters.

  3. The audience acted weird and laughed inappropriately. Then they applauded when he said he'd had sex with female employees. Sheesh!

No, I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this. In a way, it's not a big deal on his part, but when it's with employees, there is an imbalance of power and could be problematic. There are women who collect notches, too, though, especially with celebrities.

Guess his wife isn't thrilled about this, either, if it happened during his time with her. They haven't been married that long but have been involved and living together quite a while.
