Question of the Day

Adam Lambert has a CD in the works, but I wonder...Will it be any good?

Let's face it, most gay music sucks. Have you seen Logo's Poplab or the NOWNEWNEXT (or however it written)? The videos and songs are horrid, Jem and The Stingers have better songs than that mess.

Anyway, thinking about AI's track record and the super hype besetting Adam, I'm not sure if he can pull it off.

I fear it will be that electronic/autotune/Madonna-ish crap. Please prove me wrong, Adam!

  1. Most of the videos are horrid because record labels don't support gay artists enough to give them money to make better videos...

As for the music, yeah, a lot of it isn't very good but I have found a few gems in the discount bin...

  2. There is a great deal of good LGBT music out there, unfortunately almost none of it appears on LOGO - MTV is managing to do just as bad a job with LOGO as they do on MTV.

But there is Pansy Division and Telling On Trixie for rock, and Pop/Rock/Folkers Eric Himan, Tom Goss, Aiden James, Jay Brannon, Shane Mack, Casey Stratton, Garrin Benfield, Andy Moore, Skott Freedman - all having to do the indie route since there is so little support in mainstream music. Most have found followings on YouTube and MySpace, and have fantastic live shows.

That said, Gawd only knows if RCA will screw up Adam Lambert. If I were to place a bet, they will have him singing Donna Summer tunes.

  3. I think he'll probablt do more of a glam rock type thing. His look and style was never very gay club thumpa thumpa to me. Much more Queen/Aerosmith/Billy idol/David Bowie. No Madonna though.

  4. I agree with Mtykwan. Perhaps he will stay true to his rock and roll roots. I hope so because I really don't like that many gay artists...besides Freddy Mercury.
