Good news in the infamous state of Utah. 3 gay-rights bills cleared legislative hurdles yesterday by making through to the House Rules Committee.
Here they are:HB288: will allow unmarried couples, including gay and lesbian partners, to adopt and foster children in Utah -- will be debated Tuesday before the House Health and Human Services Committee.
HB267: will make it illegal to fire or evict someone for being gay or transgender.
Next week, these measures will have public committee hearings. Good luck.
