Herman Cain the Musical

In defending his mess, Herman Cain burst out in song

I can't, I can't stop laughing

Herman Cain's Sexual Harassment: Did he or Didn't he?

Juicy news about Herman Cain's sexual harassment drama is hitting the fan. His people claims this is Obama's work, but I think Reemus did do something naughty. Here's his version of the story:

Is this a stop in Cain Train?

Kim Kardashian will 'reportedly' file for Divorce

I knew this wouldn't last! Kim (I'm famous for screwing a D-lister) Kardashian will file for divorce!

TMZ has the scoop:
Kim Kardashian will file for divorce this morning, after 72 days of not-so-wedded bliss to Kris Humphries  ... TMZ has learned.

We're told even though the marriage was short, she will not seek an annulment. It's a garden variety divorce, in which Kim cites "irreconcilable differences."

We're told the date of separation is listed as today, Oct. 31, 2011.

Kim has hired disso-queen Laura Wasser, who has repped the likes of Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, and Robyn Gibson, Mel's almost ex-wife.

As we first reported, the couple has a prenuptial agreement ... Kim made sure of that.

Rumors of a split had been swirling for some time and the two were spotted out to dinner earlier this week ... looking less than pleased with one another.
See, she did this for the ratings and the money. She will get $17 million from E! for this fake wedding. Isn't it funny? We can't get married, but this tramp can get on TV and get married for money like it's no big deal.

Where's NOM now? This is a clear violation of marriage!

Is This Offensive? Superman & Batman Tear off Wonder Woman's Pants

When DC put Diana in pants, the fans were livid. But after seeing this piece of art from Clint Hilinski, I wonder if some folks will go apesh*t.
Some are saying this promotes rape, sexism and frustration. I have to say, I'm not feeling this. Men snatching the pants off a woman doesn't set well with me.

Ron Paul wins the Iowa straw poll

This man is actually winning some of these polls. This weekend, Ron gain another win in Iowa:
Paul won both the Iowa-voters-only count at the Saturday convention in Des Moines as well as a tally of non-Iowans who participated.

In the Iowa voters result, Paul took 82%. Following him were Herman Cain with 14.7%, Rick Santorum with 1%, Newt Gingrich with 0.9%, Michele Bachmann with 0.5%, Rick Perry with 0.5%, Gary Johnson with 0.2%, with Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman 0%.

The total number of votes cast in that tally was 430.

In the tally of non-Iowans who voted, Paul won 26% followed by Cain at 25%, Perry and Santorum tied at 16%, Gingrich at 11%, Bachmann at 6%, Romney at 1%, and Huntsman and Johnson with 0%.
Again, there is no front runner in the side show... Gosh, I love it.

WATCH: Highlights of an Interesting Rick Perry's Speech in New Hampshire

On Friday night, Rick gave a speech at the Manchester, N.H. But not just a regular speech, it was kind of weird. Here are some highlights from that speech

Interesting Quote: Rick Perry

"As conservatives we believe in the sanctity of life. We believe in the sanctity of traditional marriage. And I applaud those legislators in New Hampshire who are working to defend marriage as an institution between one man and one woman, realizing that children need to be raised in a loving home by a mother and a father."

Michele Bachmann's View on Bullying

"I think that this is an issue that needs to be handled at the local level. I don't like to have the federal government involved in telling the local schools what to do. For one thing, there was no federal Department of Education until the late 1970s. So, I don't want the federal government involved. I actually want to end the federal Department of Education."

So in middle of talking about bullying, she ends her statement with abolishing the Department of Education. Smooth, She-Mess.

Teacher Cleared of Wrongdoing in the Anti-Gay Facebook Posting Incident

Jim Whitney was cleared of any wrongdoing on the hateful post on Facebook. Jim claims his account was hacked:

Joplin Superintendent Doctor CJ Huff tells News Talk KZRG complaints were made about things high school math teacher Jim Whitney allegedly posted on Facebook. But apparently Whitney's Facebook account was hacked.
"It's unfortunate when you're dealing with social media and dealing with technology and the potential for people to get on to other people's accounts and say things that shouldn't be said."
Huff says the Joplin School Board was made aware of the situation at Tuesday's board meeting and no action was taken.
Hmm, interesting... I wonder if this is true or not. What do you think?

Officials are investigating the Ohio High School Gay Bashing

Yesterday, we were all appalled over the gay bashing at the Unioto High School in Ohio. The video found its way on Facebook and later, everywhere.

Now, investigators are looking into possible charges:
While the sheriff's office continues to investigate the motive, Ross County Prosecutor Matt Schmidt said his office is evaluating whether to file an assault or felonious assault charge.
"What people are failing to understand is there isn't an Ohio law to enhance it (if the assault was motivated by the victim's sexuality)," Schmidt said.

There is a federal hate crime law, he added, but the federal district attorney would have to file the charge, and Collins could approach him about it. He also said he has not heard from Collins or her son, but certainly is willing to listen to them if they want to talk with him. Schmidt anticipates filing the charge from his office today.
The story claims that the attacker has a mental issue:
According to the initial report obtained Thursday by the Gazette, the two boys were on their way to a third-period class when they "bumped shoulders." The 15-year-old suspect told deputies he has a mental illness, that he "just zoned out," and didn't know why he punched Collins' son, according to the report.

Collins' son sustained a black eye, a knot behind his ear, a chipped tooth and a possible concussion, Collins said.
I'm not sure about that part. I hope the investigators look into the boy's mental issues. So, there will be more to come on this story.

New Report: 28% of TV Watching Spent on LGBT-Inclusive Shows

This is pretty interesting. According to this study, more folks are tuning in to LGBT themed shows:
Scripted Shows for Teens, Realities for Older Females
Teen and Millennial viewers in particular dedicated over a third of their primetime scripted TV viewing to series depicting at least one regular or recurring LGBT character.* Females 50 and older were attracted to realities featuring LGBT cast-members, hosts, judges and/or competitors, dedicating a significant share of their reality TV time to these programs.* Overall, one in four scripted series and one in five reality shows were LGBT-inclusive.
“The inclusion of LGBT characters on TV more accurately portrays the diverse and multicultural society we live in by encompassing all segments of the population,” said Matt O’Grady, EVP, Audience Measurement, Nielsen.

LGBT-Inclusive Shows Attract Dynamic Audiences
Audiences for LGBT-inclusive shows were as diverse as the programs themselves, though certain demographics appear to have been more exposed to LGBT images. Within the 25-49 age demographic, LGBT-inclusive programs (and its advertisers) were most likely to reach:
  • College-educated white females
  • Small white collar households
  • Budding families (those with 3 or fewer members)
Non-white, professional Millennials without children also tended to watch LGBT-inclusive shows more frequently than primetime in general.

LGBT-Inclusive characters were incorporated into shows that skewed towards Eastern and Pacific viewers and were less watched by Midwesterners. This differential was most pronounced among 18-24 year olds in the Midwest, especially when compared to 18-24 year olds in other regions of the U.S.
Interesting. I wondering this will promote more LGBT TV?

BackFlash Video Thursday - Aretha Franklin

This was so big in my college days, especially on Drag Nights at the bar. Here's Mama Aretha with 'A Rose Is Still A Rose'

Interesting Quote: Sharon J. Lettman-Hicks Executive Director of the National Black Justice Coalition

Bullying and violence have no place in our schools. When our children are the targets as a result of their orientation, perceived orientation, gender identity or gender expression, it is critical that there are adults they can turn to. It is imperative that their allies be visible so that they won't have to be invisible. This is our responsibility to not only our black LGBT youth but every child.

It is going to take a village to change the culture of bullying. As adults, we have an obligation to help young people "own their power." If they are bullied or witness their friends being harassed, they should feel empowered to speak up and speak out. That's where we come in.

We must engage our children in open and honest dialogue around anti-gay violence and rhetoric and bring LGBT-inclusive books, movies, and conversations into the home. Start a Gay-Straight Alliance with your son or daughter if they don't already have one. And if there is one, you can volunteer, whether your child is gay or not. Being a silent spectator is not an option. It is about building community and letting our children know that we care.

WATCH: A Horrible attack on a Gay Student at School

This attack took place at Union-Scioto High School in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Here's more info:
In the clip, which was filmed on a cell phone and then posted to Facebook, the attacker, who has not been named, can be seen waiting for the gay student, who wishes to remain anonymous, in a classroom.

Once the student arrives, the bully begins severely beating "the holy living crap out of him," says his mother.

Even though the boy tried to get away and asked "Why are you doing this?" the attack continued.

WSYX reports the student received a possible concussion and a chipped tooth.

The student also says that the perpetrator wrote "Check out the definition of a faggot" on his Facebook page two days earlier.

The attacker received three days suspension, but the mother of the gay student says that is not good enough and she is going to file charges.

She added, "For all those people that have hate in their hearts, they need to let it go because people are going to be who they are".
This is unacceptable! The student should be arrested and the school needs to act on the safety of gay students. It's such a shame this happening in the schools and no one jumped in to stop this! I have to ask... Is it getting better?

I hate to say this but, "no".

More to come on this tragedy.

What's Happening with the String Gay Attacks in West Hollywood

I'm very surprised about any of this. It's WeHo! The last place I would imagine gay attacks to happen:

Miss Aretha Franklin Sang at a Gay Wedding

The Queen of Soul sung to a gay couple at their wedding this past Sunday night:
The Sunday night wedding of the two men and its after-party drew an illustrious guests that included Barbara Walters, Joel Grey, Gayle King, former New York governor David Paterson, and former New York City mayor David Dinkins. Franklin performed stirring renditions of “I Will Always Love You,” “I Say a Little Prayer,” and “Respect.”
This could be a new career move for Aretha.

7-Year-Old Transgender Child denied from the Girl Scouts, but now Accepted

Interesting turn of events

According to Fox News, the Girl Scouts Of Colorado have since admitted a mistake was made. Apparently the worker who turned Montoya away was unfamiliar with the group's policies, and Bobby is now welcome to join the group. It's unclear as to whether or not she has decided to join in light of the reversal.

Requests for transgender children to join the Girl Scouts have grown according to Fox News, and the group has been working to support them and their families.
Congrats to Bobby!

Ron Paul said Heterosexuals cause more issues than the Gays in the Military

Ron Paul kept it real about DADT and gays in the military in a recent interview in the Iowa State Daily
"Well, like I said, everybody has the same rights as everybody else, so homosexuals in the military isn't a problem. It's only if they're doing things they shouldn't be, if they're disruptive. But there's ... men and women getting into trouble with each other too. And there's a lot more heterosexuals in the military, so logically they're causing more trouble than gays. So yes, you just have the same rules for everybody and treat them all the same."

BTW, Ron did vote for the repeal of DADT.

Is This an Epidemic? Another Teacher Spouts Out Anti-Gay Remarks on Facebook

Another Dumbass Teacher crossed the line on Facebook. Jim Whitney had plenty to say about being gay and how many deaths it would take to send a message:

The comments first appeared on the wall of a former student’s Facebook profile on Oct. 19. The former student, Josh Gonzalez, had posted a Facebook link to a news article about a gay 15-year-old from Canada who committed suicide after being bullied.

A Facebook comment replying to the Gonzalez post that appeared under Whitney’s name stated: “Moral of the story: Don’t be gay.”

That comment provoked reaction and criticism from others, including this: “How many more kids have to kill themselves before everyone realizes that this is an actual issue?”

That was followed by another comment attributed to Whitney’s account that read: “11-13 ought to do it.”

Whitney did not respond to requests for an interview but released a statement via email on Monday afternoon saying he was sorry the incident occurred.

“I do not condone bullying or harassment of any kind and I am very aware and saddened by the negative impact this type of behavior creates. I regret that the posts appeared on Facebook. They do not reflect my personal views and I apologize for any and all offenses caused by the comment.”
The students don't need a person like that in schools. So far, the school district is looking into Jim's actions. He should be in deep trouble!

Interesting Quote(s): Rick Santorum

Santorum on his stance on the overturned sodomy laws:
“And I stood up from the very beginning back in 2003 when the Supreme Court was going create a constitutional right to sodomy and said this is wrong we can’t do this. And so I stood up when no one else did and got hammered for it. I stood up and I continue to stand up.”

Santorum on Hate Crimes:
“I do not believe that sexual orientation should be added to hate crimes, but let me be honest, I don’t believe in hate crimes, period.”

Gareth Thomas Retires

Gareth released word that he is retiring from rugby:
Wales dual-code international rugby player Gareth Thomas announces his retirement from all forms of rugby with immediate effect.

Emanuele Palladino from Thomas’ management company Distinct comments:

“We can confirm that Gareth Thomas is officially retiring from both international and club rugby with immediate effect. This marks the end of what has been a remarkable career for a remarkable person. Gareth hopes that through his achievements both on and off the field he has left a lasting legacy within the game.”

Gareth Thomas comments:

“I have listened and discussed this decision with many of my family and close friends. My mind has told me that the time to retire is now. If you can't give 100 percent to rugby then you can't do it justice. This is a sad day, but I know that my time has come to an end as a player. My passion for the amazing game will never end or leave me however.”

“I do not know what lies ahead, but I feel the challenge of something different excites me more than another year of rugby.”

“I would like to thank everyone I have been involved with in the sport. I could not have achieved it without any of them. I have great memories and great friends that I will keep for the rest of my life. I leave knowing I have done everything in my power to be the best person and player I could have ever been. And finally, I thank my parents for all their support and help throughout my career.”
Good luck, Gareth.

New Report: Inequities Hurts the Children of Gay Parents

An interesting report was released today about gay families. According to "All Children Matter: How Legal and Social Inequalities Hurt LGBT Families," many kids face hardship over the treatment of the parents.

Here are some key findings:
—Many government safety net programs use definitions of family tied to marital status which may exclude same-sex partners.

—Because of lack of legal recognition for their unions, gay and lesbian parents can face heavier tax burdens, higher costs for health insurance, and diminished financial protections in the event of death or disability.

—When same-sex parents separate, one parent may lose custody or visitation rights, even in cases where he or she had been a child's primary caregiver.
This report will be discussed today in Washington to shed some light on this matter.

Students can look to the STARS for Social Justice

A new initiative at Ohio University is gaining traction. It's called STARS and it could be the next best thing to deal racism on college campuses:
The above photos were created by the student organization at Ohio University called Students Teaching Against Racism (STARS). Their mission is "to educate and facilitate discussion about racism and to promote racial harmony and to create a safe, non-threatening environment to allow participants to feel comfortable to express their feelings."

When they posted this campaign to the president of the group's tumblr page they did not anticipate the strong response they would get; the images spread like wildfire across the blogosphere. One writer, who reblogged the post shortly after it was published, received over 8,000 views in one day and had to disable her comments.
This is amazing, for more go here

Another Lesson Storm Taught Me

In Uncanny X-Men 214, Storm was attacked by the psychic Marauder, Malice. Here is the page:
I remember thinking about the last panel as a teen. At the time, I was too young to understand that statement; embracing your 'darker nature'. But as the years followed, I got it! I learned that I needed to confront my fears, demons and doubts head on.

And child, let me tell you, it wasn't easy. When you look at what holds you back, what lies to you and what keeps you down; it can be truly daunting. You are dealing with a lot of issues that comes from many places in your life. But once I start working through my mess, I felt myself move forward. I knew what I had to do to get myself in order. And that's the funny thing, when you know what you need to do, life get so much clearer. However, that's when the real work begins.

Embracing those pieces of yourself is liberating, because you see the issue and the layers that comes with that issue. Then when you start tearing through layers, you learn so much about yourself. Good or bad, I believe you come aware of who you really are. I find the process to educational and rewarding.

Interesting Quote: Zimbabwe's Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai

"It's a very controversial subject in my part of the world. My attitude is that I hope the constitution will come out with freedom of sexual orientation, for as long as it does not interfere with anybody. To me, it's a human right."
The PM supports gay rights in Zimbabwe.

'Once Upon A Time' Soars

The new fairy tale series kicked ass last night. According to Deadline, OUAT has the highest debut of the year:
Launching in the Sunday 8 PM slot once occupied by The Wonderful World Of Disney, ABC’s fairytale drama Once Upon A Time got off to a great start last night, pulling in a 3.9 rating/10 share among adults 18-49 and 12.8 million viewers against NFL football on NBC and the World Series on Fox. This is ABC’s highest-rated new series premiere this fall and the season’s No. 1 drama debut in 18-49 on any network.
That's a huge start! If you saw it, tell me what you thought?
