#VeteransForKaepernick is the best thing ever

Ever since San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick made his stance about the national anthem and the way people of color are treated in this country, everybody who has no idea about freedom of speech had something to say.

Mostly, fools focused on the "supposed" disrespect of the flag and the U.S. military who fought and died for our freedom.

Well, the soldiers came out in support of my boo, using the hashtag #VeteransForKaepernick

A Campaign focuses on Safe Sex between Trans Men and Cis Men

A new campaign called GRUNT is here to keep sex between trans guys and cis guys.

From their website
Grunt is about hot, fun, informed sex between trans guys and cis guys. It’s a celebration of who we are and the guys we are into. A space to get accurate, inclusive and sex-positive sexual health information so we can keep it safe, keep it hot and have awesome sex.

Grunt focuses on the sex and play we have with cis guys because there is very limited information in Australia about how we look after our sexual health as gay, bi and queer trans men. In addition to this, men who have sex with men are disproportionately affected by HIV in Australia, in fact most of the new reported diagnoses each year are among gay-identified men living in our capital cities. When compared to other LBQ/not-straight populations, gay men experience a greater prevalence of STIs as well. Trans guys have always been part of gay male communities so we need to know this stuff.

If you are a trans guy into other trans guys, Grunt is still for you. The level of HIV and STI risk might be different but as a gay, bi or queer guy, Grunt is a good source for sexual health information.

The term ‘trans’ is used throughout Grunt to refer to people with a gender identity different to what was assigned at birth. For this campaign that means men, trans masc and non-binary people assigned female at birth (including those of us who don’t identify as trans at all).

In seeking the imagery for this resource, no volunteer was turned away and we tried hard to find a diverse mix of shapes, shades, sizes and expressions, we are grateful to the folks who donated their time, comfort-zones and bodies for Grunt.

I'm here for it and I think this is cool

Interesting Quote: Colin Kaepernick

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Wikileaks continues to put Gay People in Danger

I personally think Wikileaks is the devil. I'm not convinced that they do anything that helps anyone. And especially after this story, I'm completely done with them.

In their latest dump, WikiLeaks released info on hundreds of people, which includes survivors of sexual abuse, sick children, the mentally ill and LGBT people.

The Associated Press reports:
In the past year alone, the radical transparency group has published medical files belonging to scores of ordinary citizens while many hundreds more have had sensitive family, financial or identity records posted to the web. In two particularly egregious cases, WikiLeaks named teenage rape victims. In a third case, the site published the name of a Saudi citizen arrested for being gay, an extraordinary move given that homosexuality is punishable by death in the ultraconservative Muslim kingdom.

“They published everything: my phone, address, name, details,” said a Saudi man who told AP he was bewildered that WikiLeaks had revealed the details of a paternity dispute with a former partner. “If the family of my wife saw this … Publishing personal stuff like that could destroy people.”

Three Saudi cables published by the WikiLeaks identified domestic workers who’d been tortured or sexually abused by their employers, giving the women’s full names and passport numbers. One cable named a male teenager who was raped by a man while abroad; a second identified another male teenager who was so violently raped his legs were broken; a third outlined the details of a Saudi man detained for “sexual deviation” – a derogatory term for homosexuality.

The AP independently found three dozen records pertaining to family issues in the cables – including messages about marriages, divorces, missing children, elopements and custody battles. Many are very personal, like the marital certificates which reveal whether the bride was a virgin. Others deal with Saudis who are deeply in debt, including one man who says his wife stole his money. One divorce document details a male partner’s infertility. Others identify the partners of women suffering from sexually transmitted diseases including HIV and Hepatitis C.

Hillbillies protest outside Houston's NAACP office

This is not a surprise, but these folks taught it would something if they protested for White lives.

USA Today reports
Roughly 20 people showed up on Sunday, some with the red flag and assault rifles, others holding up a "White Lives Matter" banner, in a protest against NAACP, according to local media reports.

"We came here because the NAACP headquarters is here and that's one of the most racist groups in America," Scott Lacy, a White Lives Matter member, told KPRC-TV.

The prime examples they cited were the NAACP's response to Black Lives Matter protests, protester Ken Reed told the Houston Chronicle. He said Black Lives Matter and other organizations have resulted in the "attack and killing of police officers, the burning down of cities and things of that nature."

Crackhead Giuliani says that "the Internet" proves that Hillary's in poor health - VIDEO

Interesting Quote: Jerry Falwell Jr.

We are at a crossroads where our first priority must be saving our nation. We need a leader with qualities that resemble those of Winston Churchill, and I believe that leader is Donald Trump. As Churchill did, Trump possesses the resolve to put his country first and to never give up in a world that is increasingly hostile to our values. Despite our differences, Americans from all walks of life must unite behind Trump and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence or suffer dire consequences. If Clinton appoints the next few Supreme Court justices, not only will the Second Amendment right to bear arms be effectively lost, but also activist judges will rewrite our Constitution in ways that would make it unrecognizable to our founders.

Paul Manafort Quits

This Trump campaign is a hot mess. After the big shake up and drama, Paul Manafort quits... Just quits.

Here's more:
Mr. Manafort left nearly a week after a New York Times report about tumult within the Republican presidential nominee’s campaign helped precipitate a shakeup of the campaign’s leadership. His departure reflects repeated efforts to steady a campaign that has been frequently roiled by the behavior of its tempestuous first-time candidate.

Mr. Manafort was also dogged by reports about secretive efforts he made to help the former pro-Russian government in Ukraine, where he has worked on and off over several years. He had also become viewed with trepidation by Jared Kushner, Mr. Trump’s son-in-law and a major force within the campaign, amid a number of false starts since the Republican National Convention, according to three people briefed on the matter.

“This morning Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign,” Mr. Trump said in a statement released by the campaign. “I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today, and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process. Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success.”
So funny and messy

Liar, Liar Ryan Lochte on Fire

Ryan Lochte is a jerk.

Earlier in the week, Ryan claimed at he and his teammates were robbed at gun point. Folks were quick to bring up Rio's current climate, saying it was bound to happen. However, it was all a lie.

Ryan made it all up. Here's the scoop:
Ryan Lochte lied about getting robbed at gunpoint, according to an Associated Press report, citing a Brazilian police official.

The official has direct knowledge of the investigation, according to the AP, and spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak about an ongoing investigation.

Lochte and U.S. teammates Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen went to a gas station at about 6 a.m. Sunday, the official said, and broke a door to an outside bathroom when they couldn't get in.

They were confronted by an armed security guard, but he did not point the gun at the athletes, the official said.

A manager asked the swimmers to pay for the broken door and they gave him an undisclosed amount of money, the official said.

“The madman has actually done it. God-Emperor Daddy — known to the rest of you as Republican presidential candidate Donald J Trump — has just outflanked Hillary Clinton on the Left and announced what can only be described as an ultra-progressive immigration policy. I don’t mean progressive as it has come to be used, of course — nannying, language-policing, Muslim-pandering. I mean it’s a policy that could actually make things better for minorities.

“Trump’s plan is to introduce a screening process for prospective immigrants to the U.S., testing their ideological commitment to western values like women’s rights, gay rights, and religious pluralism. It’s a brilliant plan. I’m especially inclined to say it’s brilliant because it may have been partly inspired by me.

“I’m comfortable with people who are uncomfortable with gays, as long as they don’t want to kill us, maim us or throw us off rooftops. (Permission for lesser violence is available upon application.) For leftists, the reverse appears to be true — they’re uncomfortable with people who are uncomfortable with gays, unless they want to kill us and maim us and throw us off rooftops.”

Trump tried to appeal to the Black voter

Last night, Trump went to the whitest town in WI, West Bend. There, he spoke about how African Americans were getting shafted by Hillary.

However this is crowd he was speaking to

Plus, his message falls on deaf ears. He only has 1% of the Black vote, so what was he thinking? We ain't here for him, in fact, we haven't forgot about his hatred of President Obama. I mean, he is the king of the birthers.

Full look of Pennywise for the "It" remake

Yes, I love scary clowns and this hot pic of Pennywise is giving me everything!

Bill Skarsgård plays the demonic being who feeds off of the fear of children. This look give him a horrifying appearance that will completely haunt you in your dreams.
Emmy-winning costume designer Janie Bryant had this to say about the costume design:
“The costume definitely incorporates all these otherworldly past lives, if you will. He is definitely a clown from a different time.”
EW gets into the style of Pennywise:
There’s a classic Harlequin quality to the elegant red lines, drawing up his cheeks like fangs to bisect his eyes. In this new image, we can more clearly see the fissures in the caked-on makeup atop his domed brow, resembling the sutures in the plates of a skull.

We even get a hint of his yellow, buck-toothed smile – or might those be something sharper?

His neck is frilled by a thick, puffy collar, like a ruff from the late 16th century, and here’s where we zoom in and venture into geek-out territory for costume enthusiasts. Every part of the costume is meant to suggest something both ancient and disturbed.
I'm starting to get excited about this

What Trump Said about Romney's Tax Returns

So, Trump hasn't released his tax returns. It's very telling that he's hiding something, but let him tell it, he's good. But let's go back to 2012, when he told Fox’s Greta Van Susteren about how Mitt Romney was wrong for doing the same thing.

Trump said:
It's going to be very close. I think Mitt was hurt really very badly by this whole thing with the income tax returns. I believe he should have given them April 1, but I didn't think going into a little bit of detail without going into a lot of detail was positive thing. He'll come back. He has proven to be very resilient guy. He has been hurt a number of times by number of different things, he comes back. He really seems to be very tough and resilient. You have to hand it to him.

DNC comes for Trump and Rubio headlining Anti-LGBT Hate Convention

Trump and Marco Rubio are the headliners of a hate group meeting in Florida. This meeting has some of the most anti-LGBT figures out here today. For some reason the "champion of the Gays" thought he needed to be there.

Well, it didn't go unnoticed, a lot of us saw this mess and used social media to call it out. And the DNC had something to say as well.
Joint Statement from DNC Chair Donna Brazile and DNC LGBT Caucus Chair Earl Fowlkes:

"Instead of honoring the memory of those we lost at Pulse two months ago, Donald Trump and Marco Rubio have come to Orlando to headline a gathering of some of the nation’s most incendiary anti-gay bigots. We at the DNC join all people of good conscience in expressing our solidarity with the Orlando LGBT community as they continue to grieve the deadliest shooting in American history. We suggest Trump and Rubio disavow these anti-gay extremists who have likened gay people to Nazis and characterized HIV/AIDS as divine ‘penalties' for being gay. Failing to do so will be yet another example of the utter lack of judgment that makes Trump unfit to serve."

The Removal of Judge Roy Moore goes to Trial

This could be the end of Roy Moore raggedy career!

Here's the lowdown:

Roy did everything he could to deny folks the right to marry in Alabama. He abused his power and tried rewrite the federal law. It all failed and folks filed an ethics complaint against him.

He was hurt and surprised that it happened, but we knew it was coming. Roy got the Liberty Counsel involved in hopes to dismiss the ethics complaint, however the judicial panel denied the request. Now he has to go to a trial-like proceeding on Sept. 28.

The Court of the Judiciary said that Roy violated the ethical standards for judges with a January memo to probate judges regarding same-sex marriage.

Nike's Ad feature Chris Mosier, the First US Transgender Athlete

From the press release
Chris Mosier began competing in the duathlon and triathlon in 2009 after he completed his first marathon, because he needed a greater challenge. “For me, triathlon is a true challenge because it is three different disciplines in one sport,” Mosier explains. “Triathlon is [also] a challenge for me because swimming is my weakest sport, and it’s the biggest mental challenge.”

At the age of four years old, Mosier became aware that his gender identity (male) and biological sex (female) didn’t align. Competing in female athletics, he didn’t feel as though he was competing as his authentic self. This truth has propelled Mosier on his journey.

“Everything that I’ve done in the last five, six years since I started to transition, has been with [a] “Just Do It” mindset,” he explains. “I didn’t know if I would be competitive against men; I just did it. Every success that I’ve had since then has shown me that anything is really possible. By not stopping myself, not limiting myself and just really going for it, I’ve learned a lot about myself and also had the opportunity to further the conversation on trans inclusion in sports.”

In 2015, with a sprint duathlon time of 01:02:45.48 at the national championships — earning him a seventh place finish in the male 35-39 group — Mosier became the first openly trans athlete to earn a spot on a U.S. national team. Mosier’s feat in the 5K-run, 20K-bike, 2.5K-run race led him to challenge the international transgender competition policy, which resulted in the creation and adoption of new, more-inclusive guidelines for participation of transgender athletesi>

50 Republican National Security Officials says NO to Trum in Open Letter

It's getting ugly for Trump.

50 GOP most experienced national security officials sent a letter to Trump, letting him know that they won't vote for him.

HuffPo reports
“We are convinced that [Trump] would be a dangerous President and would put at risk our country’s national security and well-being,” said the former officials, many of whom held top positions in the George W. Bush administration.

“Most fundamentally, Mr. Trump lacks the character, values, and experience to be President,” they added. “He weakens U.S. moral authority as the leader of the free world. He appears to lack basic knowledge about and belief in the U.S. Constitution, U.S. laws, and U.S. institutions, including religious tolerance, freedom of the press, and an independent judiciary.”

Signers include some of the best known intelligence, defense and security experts of the past two decades: Michael V. Hayden, the former director of both the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency; Michael Chertoff and Tom Ridge, both of whom served as secretaries of Homeland Security during the Bush administration; Dov Zakheim, a former under secretary of defense; John D. Negroponte, a deputy secretary of state and a former director of national intelligence; Eric Edelman, a top national security adviser to former Vice President Dick Cheney; and Robert Zoellick, a former deputy secretary of state, United States trade rep and president of the World Bank.
I love it!

“He’s onto something, because secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up. That’s the kiss-ass generation we’re in right now. We’re really in a pussy generation. Everybody’s walking on eggshells. We see people accusing people of being racist and all kinds of stuff. When I grew up, those things weren’t called racist. And then when I did Gran Torino, even my associate said, ‘This is a really good script, but it’s politically incorrect.’ And I said, ‘Good. Let me read it tonight.’ The next morning, I came in and I threw it on his desk and I said, ‘We’re starting this immediately.’

“I haven’t endorsed anybody. I haven’t talked to Trump. I haven’t talked to anybody. You know, he’s a racist now because he’s talked about this judge. And yeah, it’s a dumb thing to say. I mean, to predicate your opinion on the fact that the guy was born to Mexican parents or something. He’s said a lot of dumb things. So have all of them. Both sides. But everybody—the press and everybody’s going, ‘Oh, well, that’s racist,’ and they’re making a big hoodoo out of it. Just fucking get over it. It’s a sad time in history.”

GOP Rep. Richard Hanna Switches over to Hillary Clinton

Rep. Richard Hanna is one of the first congressional Republican voting for Hillary over Trump. Tired of Trump's weakness and mess, Hanna is moving on.

In an op-ed posted in Syracuse.com Hanna wrote about his reasons of dumping Trump. Here's a piece:
Months ago I publicly said I could never support Trump. My reasons were simple and personal. I found him profoundly offensive and narcissistic but as much as anything, a world-class panderer, anything but a leader. Little more than a changing mirror of those he speaks to. I never expect to agree with whoever is president, but at a minimum the president needs to consistently display those qualities I have preached to my two children: kindness, honesty, dignity, compassion and respect.

I do not expect perfection, but I do require more than the embodiment of at least a short list of the seven deadly sins.

Gold Star Family Members demand apology from Trump

The Gold Star Families tell Trump to apologize to the Khans for is myopic rant

725 Fifth Avenue
New York, NY 10022
Mr. Trump,

We are all Gold Star Families, who have lost those we love the most in war. Ours is a sacrifice you will never know. Ours is a sacrifice we would never want you to know.

Your recent comments regarding the Khan family were repugnant, and personally offensive to us. When you question a mother’s pain, by implying that her religion, not her grief, kept her from addressing an arena of people, you are attacking us. When you say your job building buildings is akin to our sacrifice, you are attacking our sacrifice.

You are not just attacking us, you are cheapening the sacrifice made by those we lost.

You are minimizing the risk our service members make for all of us.

This goes beyond politics. It is about a sense of decency. That kind decency you mock as “political correctness.”

We feel we must speak out and demand you apologize to the Khans, to all Gold Star families, and to all Americans for your offensive, and frankly anti-American, comments.

We hope you will hear us.

Ghazala Khan strikes back at Trump

This pic of Khizr and Ghazala Khan will forever be a part of American history. And their speech to Trump will always be important in this political climate.

After Khizr spoke from his heart, Trump spoke from his ego. Trump responded to Khizr claiming he too, lost a lot in life. And then he had this to say about Ghazala Khan:
“His wife, if you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably, maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say. You tell me, but plenty of people have written that. She was extremely quiet and it looked like she had nothing to say.”
Well, Trump was wrong, because Ghazala had plenty to say.

Meningitis outbreaks among Gay Men

Lord...

So Meningitis is back on the attack. Over the weekend, I read about the virus hitting hard in the gay community:
There’s no known medical reason why meningitis, which is transmitted through saliva, would spread more among gay and bisexual men. Yet New York, Chicago and now Southern California have experienced outbreaks disproportionately affecting that population.

“It is perplexing,” said Dr. Rachel Civen, a medical epidemiologist at L.A. County’s Department of Public Health.

Of the 13 cases of meningitis this year in L.A. County — excluding Long Beach, which has its own health department — seven were gay men. There were only 12 meningitis cases in the county in all of 2015, one of which was a gay or bisexual man.

In Long Beach, there have been six meningitis cases this year, half of which were gay men. Last year there were no meningitis cases in the city, according to city officials.

Civen, who has tracked the county’s meningitis cases for a decade, said it was “pretty striking” that half or more of the cases in both jurisdictions were gay men.

Meningitis cases in L.A. and Orange counties are thought to be connected because lab testing showed that many patients were infected with the same strain of meningococcus, known as serotype C.
So, please go get tested and be careful
