A Private California School serves up a Racist Black History Month lunch menu

One of my students told me about this yesterday. She used to be a student there.

Carondelet High School for Girls in Concord, Ca. just did a very bad, bad thing. The students wanted to celebrate Black History Month during lunch time, but what the school did was ridic.

For some reason, the officials provided a menu of fried chicken, cornbread and watermelon! What the FRAK?

Immediately, students and parents became offended and demanded answers. On Wednesday, the school held an assembly over the incident. The principal said there will be more talks to come. But I want to know how did the meal get cleared?

Well, according to the school spokesperson, the menu was not presented to administrators. Okay, so why did they serve it anyway? And who doesn't know that this combination of foods is offensive?

Somebody's losing their job.

You're right it was terribly inappropriate. On the other hand fried chicken, cornbread and watermelon sounds delish!
