A Threatened Gay Student was Revictimized by the Office of Student Housing

A gay freshman was threaten at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. 18-year-old Alex Worthley claimed that his roommate threaten him, saying that he didn't like gay people and:
‘I do have a knife and I’ll use it if I have to."
When Alex reported this to Res Life, he actually received the same discipline letter as his homophobic roommate.

For those of you who don't know, I work in Res Life. To hear something like this is really fu*ked up. Who would allow a letter like this to go out? I guess all Res Life programs are not created equal.

That really is messed up. It's like they're telling the students to settle it themselves.

In my case, they really wouldn't want that. I tend not to shy away from conflict. *smiles*
